Maybe for some folks this isn’t the most epic motorcycle tour ever. But for me, it’s huge.
Six men. Six bikes. One thousand, one hundred fifteen kilometres. Four days.
I’m lovin’ it!

Heading out on the highway on Saturday morning with my baby brother Curtis, my uncle Vic, and Curtis’ brother-in-law Lloyd. Should be a good time.

We’ll leave Castlegar in the morning and head to Grand Forks and Rock Creek on the Crowsnest Highway #3 and then Highway #33 to Kelowna. This will take us past the Nancy Greene summit, the Blueberry-Paulson summit and over the pass past Big White Ski Resort (http://www NULL.bigwhite NULL.com/).
After Kelowna, we’ll ride the “back side” of Okanagan Lake to Vernon, where apparently we’re staying overnight in a yurt (http://en NULL.wikipedia NULL.org/wiki/Yurt). The next day it’s Highway #6 to the Needles-Fauquier Ferry across the Lower Arrow Lake (http://en NULL.wikipedia NULL.org/wiki/Arrow_Lakes), and then along the lake to Nakusp.
After Nakusp, we continue along Highway #6 through the Slocan Valley back to Castlegar.
Good times!
Four thousand, four hundred and twelve kilometers. Ten days. Of that, nearly fifteen hundred kilometers in two driving days on the motorcycle with my lovely on the back.

It was so worth it. Next big trip on July 19/20 with Curtis, Lloyd and possibly Uncle Vic!
The idea of going back to Briercrest (http://briercrest NULL.ca/) has just not left me alone. The details are totally unclear—why would I go there and what would I do? But the direction thought of going remains. The thought just wouldn’t leave us alone, so we decided to drive to Caronport, Saskatchewan and “smell the air” out there, giving God the opportunity to speak to us. Parallel to this thought, I had an overwhelming urge to visit my Dad’s church in Schuler, Alberta and play my song “Whatever (http://davidfriesen NULL.jasonfriesen NULL.ca/albums/soulkin/whatever/)” for them. I felt strongly that they needed to hear the song’s message.
