Writing for the web is huge and scary. Web site owners are beginning to realise that the quality of their content—particularly written content—is absolutely vital. Stakeholders can no longer provide the code-heads with terrible writing and expect the professionals to make it work. They need to learn how to write effectively on their own.

That scares some people nearly to death.

More Welfare for Corporations

Free-market, laissez-faire capitalism has a “risk and rewards” flavour. One gambles capital (money) in the hopes of a profitable gain. The greater the risk, the greater the reward. One might gain immense wealth, or one might lose one’s proverbial shirt.

The government bailouts for corporations and huge bonuses for the already overpaid muck-de-mucks that bankrupted them (http://www NULL.washingtonpost NULL.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/09/AR2009070902702_pf NULL.html) is an example of the diametric opposite of capitalism.

Google Operating System: Google Chrome OS

It’s coming: Google’s next step to conquer the world. Introducing the upcoming Google Operating System: Google Chrome OS (http://googleblog NULL.blogspot NULL.com/2009/07/introducing-google-chrome-os NULL.html).

Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010.
