Sole web developer at public community college (selkirk.ca). Transformed non-standard html sites into standards-based technologies. Worked with graphic designers to create tableless CSS/XHTML design. Created custom Content Management System using MSSQL and Classic ASP to handle program and course information that can display on the web site and also export to XML for the annual catalogue (published in Adobe Indesign). Worked with outside contractors to create additional custom CMS for non-calendar content (classic ASP). Researched additional technologies and made recommendations. Created and implemented best practices and standards based on internationally-recommended standards from Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) and others. Trained staff to use CMS and supervised support staff.
